Description
SureFire II Lubricator – SFX2PBSNSNXXC
The Bijur Delimon SureFire II Lubricator (SFX2PBSNSNXXC) is a compact, electric, motor-driven lubrication pump designed for single-line positive displacement injector (PDI) systems. It delivers precise, repeatable lubricant volumes to machinery requiring controlled automatic lubrication.
What This Configuration Means
Part number SFX2PBSNSNXXC identifies a SureFire II lubricator configured with:
- 2-liter reservoir capacity
- PDI (Positive Displacement Injector) distribution system
- Plastic (Luran) reservoir
- Standard oil viscosity range (20–1500 cSt)
- Standard filler cap with integrated strainer
- 100/115 VAC single-phase motor
- Standard low-level monitoring
- No integral controller (terminal block wiring)
How the SureFire II PDI System Works
During operation, the internal gear pump draws lubricant from the reservoir and pressurizes the distribution network. This pressure forces all connected positive displacement injectors to discharge their stored lubricant volumes to individual lubrication points.
Once all injectors have completed their discharge, system pressure rises until the pressure switch setting is reached. At this point, the pump motor is stopped and a quick dump valve relieves line pressure back into the reservoir, resetting the system for the next lubrication cycle.
Typical Applications
- CNC machining centers
- Machine tools and production equipment
- Automated manufacturing lines
- Systems using single or grouped PDIs
- Applications requiring precise, metered oil delivery
Key Performance Characteristics
- Electric motor-driven gear pump
- Maximum output pressure (PDI): 450 psi (31 bar)
- Maximum output volume: 250 cc/min @ 60 Hz
- Supports up to 100 lubrication points via PDIs
- Operating temperature range: 40°F to 105°F (5°C to 40°C)
- IP54 enclosure rating
Lubricant Compatibility
This configuration is intended for oil lubrication using standard industrial oils with viscosities between 20 and 1500 cSt at operating temperature. Use of fluid greases requires evaluation and confirmation.
When to Use This Model
- When a simple, reliable PDI-based lubrication system is required
- When lubrication timing is controlled externally (PLC or machine control)
- When compact size and flexible installation are important
- When consistent, repeatable lubricant delivery is critical
When to Choose a Different Configuration
- If integrated timing or monitoring is required (Lite or Premium controller)
- If resistance fitting (SLR) systems are used instead of injectors
- If higher reservoir capacity is required
- If DC voltage operation is needed
