What you'll also need
- PDI builds: ZEM injectors (DS 35135), 0.01-1.5 cc per outlet; pump must reach 220 psi (15 bar) at the injector, 300 psi (21 bar) recommended.
- SLR builds: meter units (resistance fittings) - offered in 8 resistance levels for flow ratios up to 1:128 (FL 36979).
- Tubing: 6MM O.D. nylon main line; 4MM O.D. nylon from injectors or meter units to the lube points (FL 36979).
- Pump outlet fitting AR397 (6MM tube x 1/4 BSPP) with copper washer 35010 (Catalog B151 p.83-84).
- Optional end-of-line pressure switch: PDI 26772-2 (225 psi); SLR single-phase 26641-2 (55 psi); SLR 3-phase 27444-1 + DIN connector MCC2510A (DS 36410; DS 36701).
Before you order
- PDI cycle: pressure fires all injectors, then a quick dump valve vents the line so injectors recharge before the next cycle (DS 36410 p.1).
- Pressure-switch mode W2: F5 fault if the switch is not made within T3 (max 99 s). Premium W4 adds air pressure (F8) and oil streak (F9) inputs for air-oil systems (Manual 36412).
- Mating connectors: DIN 43650-A 60726 (field-wireable) or 2/5/10 m cable sets DIN302U75-DIN310U75 (controller) / DIN402U75-DIN410U75 (terminal strip); M12 23694 or 23846 (Manual 36412 p.49).
- Mount upright only, at the lowest point of the lube network, so trapped air can migrate to line ends; trapped air can stop PDI injectors working (Manual 36412 p.3).
- AC single-phase motors are S3 20 %: max 2 min 59 s on per cycle and off time at least 4x on time. 24 VDC and 3-phase motors are S1 continuous (Manual 36412 p.5; QS 36711).
- Fluid grease (NLGI 000-00, max 40,000 cSt) is PDI only; SLR builds are oil only (DS 36410 p.4).
Choosing between options
- PDI (code B) runs ZEM injectors with oil or fluid grease at 450 psi (31 bar); SLR (code A) runs meter units with oil at 75 psi (1-phase) or 130 psi (3-phase) (DS 36410; DS 36701).
- Controls: terminal block (X/A) for PLC control; Timer (B) monitors level only; Lite (C) adds pressure- or cycle-switch monitoring; Premium (D) adds air pressure, oil streak, pre-lube, event (DS 36410 ordering grid; Manual 36412).
- Replacing a TM-5: special SureFire II SFX71322-RK (110/220 VAC) or SFX71322-BK (24 VDC) delivers a fixed 2.5 cc per cycle to existing meter units (TS020).
- Replacing AA/AB mechanical pumps: SureFire II package 71800-[voltage][size][material]J with one ZEM39 1.5 cc injector feeding the existing meter units (TS015).
